Trident Capital
In 1993, our founding partners established Trident Capital with a vision to invest in information technology and business services companies.
In our early days, we funded and helped to create Mapquest, a pioneering Internet business that became synonymous with online directions. In our business services sector, we invested in companies including Cable Services Group (payment and billing services for cable companies) and Pegasus (online reservations for the travel industry) and guided them through highly successful IPOs.
Today, we are still focused on information and business services companies and have expanded our areas of expertise to include Healthcare IT, IT Security, AdTech, Mobile and Cloud computing. We seek to partner with innovators who are addressing complex challenges in these dynamic markets.
Over our twenty-year history, we’ve raised over $1.9 billion and have invested in more than 180 companies. We look forward to putting our deep sector knowledge and financial and operating expertise to work for your growing company.
Panorama Capital
Panorama Capital was founded in 2005 by a team of experienced venture investors who had worked together for many years managing the venture business at JPMorgan Partners. During our tenure at JPMP, we completed 25 IPO’s and successfully sold more than 20 companies to strategic buyers.
Our investment philosophy is to seek out and invest in exceptional management teams building companies that can become market leaders in their categories. Whether a business is at the start-up phase or experiencing rapid growth, Panorama seeks to invest in entrepreneurs who are clearly passionate about their company and skilled at navigating the complex challenges that lay ahead.
We invest thematically, focusing our time and effort on developing deep domain expertise in any sector where we invest. In life sciences we invest in companies developing novel therapeutics that address significant unmet medical needs, with a well defined mechanism of action and clear regulatory strategy. In technology, we focus primarily on high-growth businesses serving the rapidly expanding mobile ecosystem. We look to invest in applications, infrastructure and core technology, where we possess unique insights and domain expertise.
We typically will invest between $5 million to $20 million over the life of a company, but work closely with entrepreneurs and other investors to develop an optimal financing plan. Panorama Capital embraces a collaborative, team-oriented culture, which is an approach taken within the firm, with our entrepreneurs and with our fellow investors.
Over the years, Panorama Capital has adopted a collaborative, team-oriented investment culture. Unlike other venture capital firms with separate teams responsible for their specific sector portfolio, we manage life sciences and technology investments as one portfolio and actively collaborate on all investment decisions.

NVP is a global, multi-stage fund dedicated to both domestic and international venture capital and growth equity investments. We believe that raising one global fund is a distinct advantage for our portfolio companies. In today’s global economy, it is important that all NVP portfolio companies—whether they are based in the U.S. or abroad—benefit from our network of global contacts and resources. Therefore, we’ve chosen to invest out of one single fund, instead of keeping our international investments and partners separate from the rest of the firm. NVP partners are committed to each investment in the portfolio, regardless of the location, and they all have a vested interest in making each NVP company successful.
