Over 100 Percent Growth in Mobile Revenue, Fourth-Quarter Profitability, and Noteworthy Increase in Brand Advertisers and Advertiser Renewals Among
SAN FRANCISCO — February 27, 2014 — JiWire, the leading mobile audience intelligence platform, today announced the major accomplishments that defined the company’s success in 2013. Most notably, JiWire achieved profitability in the fourth quarter and delivered more than 100 percent year-over-year (YOY) mobile revenue growth. Altogether, these accomplishments and more show that JiWire is accelerating the growth of the mobile ad market, which Gartner projects to reach $18 billion in 2014 and $41.9 billion by 2017.
Company Growth Exceeds Expectations, Advertiser Demand Builds
JiWire entered 2014 with a solid foundation stemming from its significant performance in 2013. The company’s impressive growth was fueled by advertisers’ demand for the industry’s most robust and accurate mobile audience intelligence platform, Location Graph™, which leverages mobile, online and offline big data to help marketers succeed through precise audience targeting, measurement and analytics.
Advertiser demand for high-performing mobile audiences contributed to the company’s profitability and mobile revenue growth of over 100 percent YOY. Adding to this, JiWire saw 100 percent YOY growth in its total number of mobile advertiser clients, fueled in part by an impressive 74 percent client renewal rate.
Expanding on its success, JiWire launched its performance-based mobile local advertising solution leveraging Location Graph audiences. In the past year, JiWire has run tens of thousands of performance campaigns, helping bolster company growth and profitability.
“Over the last year, JiWire has scaled significantly and evolved to become the leading mobile audience intelligence platform that helps advertisers reach their key audiences across devices and platforms. We have built a phenomenal team and a customer-centric, high-performing culture that continues to push the envelope and innovate,” said Mike Fordyce, CEO of JiWire. “In 2014, we will continue to rapidly innovate and make incredible strides in advancing the mobile marketing industry. The mobile market is on a tremendous growth trajectory and we look forward to building on our leadership position.”
Success and Growth in Network and Data Platform
JiWire’s extensive network continued to grow in 2013, finishing the year with thousands of mobile application partners, and exclusive access to premium advertising inventory from our Wi-Fi network partners. JiWire’s data platform saw similar growth in 2013. The platform now includes close to 1 billion anonymous audience profiles representing 50 percent growth YOY. The data associated with these audience profiles increased 200 percent YOY, contributing to the creation of richer audience intelligence and results for advertising clients.
Mobile ROI Measurement Offering, Data Partnerships Accelerate Growth in 2014
Accurate mobile ROI measurement has historically eluded advertisers, but JiWire’s October launch of Location Conversion Index® (LCI®) addressed this need for better mobile measurement. As the only solution able to measure the actual increase of in-store visits directly attributed to an advertiser’s mobile campaign, LCI has seen rapid market adoption. In the fourth quarter, brand advertisers that leveraged LCI for campaign measurement and insights achieved an average increase of 54 percent in foot traffic across verticals such as retail, telecom, CPG, automotive and restaurants. As a result, 20 percent of the company’s fourth-quarter revenue came from LCI campaigns.
In December, JiWire pioneered another industry innovation by announcing a strategic data partnership with Datalogix, providing advertisers with the ability to reach unique, precise audiences based on two of the most powerful signals of intent — where people spend their time and their money. For the first time, advertisers are able to combine location-powered mobile audiences via JiWire’s Location Graph with Datalogix’s offline purchase behavior and sales lift information to create successful campaigns.
